PayWheel’s ESS portal and its user levels

  1. Employee View

 Employee can be any user (irrespective of his/ her designation, status or rank in the organization) who is assigned a unique User Name and Password to access PayWheel’s ESS. He/ she once logged in using their credentials can view the default options of the ESS and can even edit them as and when required. For example- Employee ‘A’ signs into his ESS portal and views general details like his name, attendance details etc. If required, he can also edit the attendance records in a day/ week to change/ add shifts along with timings for which manager gets notified automatically and can approve all valid requests.

In employee view, employees are also eligible to retrieve employee-specific documents from the ESS like monthly pay-slips and need not approach the HR to hand-over their pay-slips personally. They can access and download company forms, policy and employee handbooks too.

Employee view also enables the employee to take actions for sending requests to their line managers or HRs, input their official details etc. For example, an employee can view his leave balance and then apply for it online. This directly sends a request to his reporting manager or HR (as per the organizational processes) which can be approved right away. Not only leaves but reimbursements, inputting investment details for tax saving- all can be done by the employee himself through ESS.

  1. Manager’s View

 Though a manager is also an employee of the organization, PayWheel allows him/ her access to advance features where he/ she can approve or reject his/ her own and their subordinate(s) requests regarding leave, attendance and others. In PayWheel’s Manager Self Service (MSS), up to 6 levels of approval can be set up. Managers may also be given options to generate and retrieve certain reports using their MSS portals.

  1. HR or Admin View

The access to HR or admin view in PayWheel is given to the employee who has full control of the Self Service portal. This means this user becomes the administrator who can enable or disable options that every regular employee can view and edit. Functionalities like adding new users and their data, bulk view and edit in records, bulk mailing and uploading of data, salary processing, tax and compliance calculation etc. are present in the HR/ Admin view. Considering the privacy of critical employee records, HR/ Admin view is the only place to access, modify or manage employee related information.
